[ Asahi is physically incapable of relaxing. And it's big news either way, okay, it's not every day that her egg hatches! So she's sort of freaking out about it here. ]
Y.. your egg, it's.. I think it's hatching! Is it?! I don't know what to do..! [ PANIC. ]
[ YEAH, NOT LIKE SHE'S FREAKING OUT OVER HERE OR ANYTHING. She's just watching the hatching egg, hoping Lucas will be there since she has no clue on what to do.. in fact, she's already looking out of her room when she spots him running towards it, beaconing him to come in. ]
[He sees her! He's running towards her quickly, and he moves inside to go look at the egg.
Yeah, he got here just in time, the little Turtwig broke through just as he looked at it, and soon it broke through it all, crawling out and everything.]
....Ah, it hatched! [Lucas grins then turns to look at her.] Congrats, your first Pokemon! This is a Turtwig.
[ T.. that's it?! It's over now, it just hatched like that?! She's not so sure yet, Asahi looks like an explosion could happen anytime now, although all there is is just that tiny Turtwig crawling all over her bed as if it's trying to explore already..
.. After a few moments of staring at it, she turns her gaze towards Lucas. ]
But.. well, Asahi is fairly aware of how rough she can be. Sometimes, at least, and this is one of those times. So she just ends up staring at it slightly awkwardly.. ]
[ .. She just keeps staring at it. The thing looks so.. small and frail, she just really is worried she'll hurt it. She doesn't want to, it's hers now, after all, so.. Asahi swallows, slowly reaching out and grabbing the Turtwig gently to hold it, oh so very slowly since she's still scared of her own strength. ]
Hey, Lucas.. [ She does voice her worry though now, it's okay if it's him, they're close friends after all and she knows he won't make fun of her. ] .. Do you think I'll hurt it..?
But it's still just a baby! And I'm-- well, you know what I'm like! And..
[ A gulp. .. But she does hold it all by herself now, in her arms, and she's just staring down at it. It really is cute, still a little small too and all.. much smaller than that gigantic turtle Lucas has. But that's exactly what makes it cute, right? It makes her want to protect it. ]
.. No way, aren't you just saying that to make me feel better?
[ She glances at Lucas, but her gaze quickly returns to the Turtwig in her arms, as if it's most important to look at him and make sure he's okay now. ]
[ Hmmmrr... it's still difficult, but she nods a little at him. She has to try, at least, right? She moves through the room until she's sitting down on her bed, putting the baby Pokémon on her lap so it can climb on there a little bit while she keeps an eye on it. ]
Have you never worried about that kind of stuff before, Lucas?
[he knows how to be gentle and handle a Pokemon though.]
It looks small but with the defense this Turtwig is capable of, it can take a lot of hard hits. Other Pokemon are more fragile than Turtwig, but still they're not completely weak.
But even if it doesn't hurt much, it still means you're hurting it! And.. I mean.. you're practically raising it, so you're almost like its parent, you know..
[ She's about to say that she doesn't think she's that kind at all, but she promptly makes herself shut up so she doesn't interrupt him for once. Instead she focuses on the Turtwig sittong on her, gently petting it a little as it nuzzles her hand. ]
Well, it's not like I mind it when I fight, but.. I want to fight so other people don't have to. [ Like the baby Pokémon here. And like Lucas, for that matter. ]

Pokemon can take a whole bunch of attacks, they're really strong, there's no way you'll hurt it. Besides Turtwig is known for their amazing defense.
